steamvac carpet cleaner::Be aware like mostother hoover steamvac models, the only steam you will get is from the hot tap water you put into it and not from a heating element builtin.
This shampooer is built solid and should hold up to abuse and routine use over the years.
I rated it only 3 stars because the elongated and very flat vacuum passage that sucks up the dirty water as you shampoo clogs easily and quickly, especially if you have dogs and embedded hair on your carpets as we do.
Removing the clogs requires a thin paint scrapper or other thin tool to reach into the recesses of the vacuum housing to grab the hair chunks trapped there and it willhappen again over and over and all too quickly.
Another issue is the dirty water bin where the dirty vacuumed water is held for disposal.
This bin leaked a bit as dirty water sloshed inside of it during the shampooing and movement of the shampooer.
We returned it only a day or two after trying it out.
